Allyson Felix
Allyson Michel Felix was born on November 18th, 1985. Her birthplace was Los Angeles. Felix's father Paul Felix was an ordained minister at the Master's Seminary in Sun Valley and their mother Marlean Felix was a school teacher at Balboa Magnet Elementary School. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the first day she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. The school placed second at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championships within just 10 weeks following her first attempt. Felix has graduated high school in 2003 signed an athletic contract with Adidas. After that, she enrolled at college at the University of Southern California and was a teacher in the elementary school. Her first Olympic medal came at the 2004 Summer Olympics which took place in Athens Greece. Felix set an international junior record sprinting 200 meters in 22.18 secs. In 2005, she was the youngest World Champion in the 200m in the Helsinki World Championships. She retained her title in 2007 by defeating her long-time Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix took part in her first Olympics and in the Olympics of Beijing London Rio de Janeiro as well as Tokyo consistently placing within the top three in all her events.
